Pelvic Health Frequently Asked Questions

What does a pelvic health evaluation entail?

1.

The first 30 minutes of the evaluation are a time where we get to know one another and establish why you are seeking pelvic floor therapy. The 60 remaining minutes, Jobeth will spend doing an extensive evaluation of what is going on with your body and what may be the driving forces or root causes of your symptoms and how to best support your body in reaching your individual goals. This evaluation is often a hands on assessment where Jobeth will check for tension, weakness, pain, discomfort etc in your upper body, torso and lower body. An internal assessment is optional and is a great tool for learning more about your body and the driving forces or root causes behind many symptoms. You will also receive a full treatment session, including but not limited to release work, education and goal setting.

What does a follow up pelvic health appointment entail?

2.

Pelvic health follow up appointments are 60 minutes, used strategically to help you reach your goals. These appointments often include body work, exercises, mental health strategies and education.

Do I have to have internal work?

3.

Internal assessment and treatment are optional. Utilizing internal work is a great tool for learning more about your body and the driving forces or root causes behind many symptoms. It gives another avenue of release work and proprioceptive input to muscles that are difficult to reach or release without direct access.

Internal work is person dependent and NEVER required. Your body, your autonomy ALWAYS
